Marbella 2018 when to come, what to do and where to stay

Summer 2017 is drawing to a close in Marbella and focus is now turning to making 2018 even better than what we experienced this past season. A record number of guests came through all our venues and we saw an incredible array of international DJs and artists headline the leading clubs.

If you’re planning to come over next summer then we will endeavour to ensure that your time in Marbella is memorable, stress-free and that it doesn’t break the bank. Below are some tips and suggestions on when to come, what there is to do and the best spots to stay.

When to come to Marbella

The busiest times are no doubt July and August when prices for accommodation are more costly as are flights. You’ll also find the UK Bank Holiday weekends are extremely busy. These weekends generally see the biggest parties and events taking place.

If you’re looking to come a little earlier in the year you’ll find that the majority of the beach and pool clubs will be open towards the end of April. The likes of Plaza Beach, Ocean Club and Sala by the Sea tend to be fully open from the final weekend of the month.

The nightclubs and bars should be open a couple of weeks before this.

May and September are good months to come over. You’ll find the area isn’t as busy, the parties just as good and the weather is not as hot. Be wary though as it does tend to rain on the odd day in May.

Where to stay in Marbella

You have plenty of accommodation options when it comes to Marbella. There are an incredible amount of hotels, apartments and villas available for families, small and large groups.

Hotel PYR is ideally located in the heart of Puerto Banus and is in within walking distance of the popular clubs, bars, restaurants and beach clubs. The hotel offers rooms at great rates and the value you get is very good.

If you want something more luxury and private then check out the villa options we offer. Villa Jazmines and our Puerto Banus Villas are ideal for groups & families and the costings are in line with those at the like of PYR.

What to do in Marbella

Let’s face it the main reason Marbella has become such a popular destination is due to the incredible parties and events that take place here during the summer months. Whether it’s weekly beach parties such as Kisstory, special events such as the Ocean Club Champagne Parties or club nights with the likes of Craig David, DJ EZ or Kano we have you covered.

Away from the parties, there is another side to Marbella which is worth checking out. Hire a boat and head out into the Med, chill out with your friends and soak up the sun at sea.
